2024-25 FTA Section 5310 Funding is Now Available

The NYS Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is soliciting applications for the FTA Section 5310 (Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities) grant program. Approximately $295,314 for the Kingston Urbanized Area is available.

***Application date now extended to December 5, 2025***

Completed applications will be accepted electronically by NYSDOT through the updated date of December 5, 2025

2025 Statewide TAP Solicitation

The New York State Department of Transportation has announced a statewide solicitation for the TAP. Ninety-seven million dollars are available for community-centered, active transportation projects across New York State.

Applications Due: March 12, 2026

November Policy Committee Materials Now Available

A meeting of the UCTC Policy Committee will be held via videoconference/conference call open to the public in addition to an in-person meeting.

The meeting will be held Tuesday November 25th, 2025 at 10:00am at the Rondout Municipal Center (Joint Marbletown/Rosendale Town Hall), 1915 Lucas Avenue, Cottekill, NY.

Improving the Way Your Community Moves

The Ulster County Transportation Council (UCTC) serves as a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Kingston Urbanized area as well as a portion of the Poughkeepsie-Newburgh Urbanized Transportation Management Area (TMA). The MPO designation permits members of the UCTC to have the privilege and responsibility for making final decisions concerning transportation planning and programming of Federal aid projects in Ulster County. MPOs are comprised of local elected officials, municipal staff, the State Department of Transportation, Federal Transportation Agencies, Public Transit Operators, and other transportation stakeholders who work cooperatively on local and regional transportation planning initiatives.
